McElroy Golf Classic Set For Monday, August 257/7/2008 - The Tom McElroy Golf Classic, held annually for each of the last 12 seasons, is set for Monday, August, 25, 2008 at the Spring Valley Country Club, Sharon, Mass. The golf classic supports the Tom McElroy Fund and the Boston College Soccer Community. The original purpose of the Tom McElroy Fund was to grant tuition assistance to Boston College soccer student-athletes in need. However, its success over the years allowed distribution of financial assistance to student-athletes in other sports.
